Yes!! Then I saw the Vince Vaughn recommendation for Orson and realized how much I liked it. Then I realized I was writing this while I was listening to Tom Ashbrook in Boston & NPR doing 'best of the worst' movie catalog with two reviewers...and they're talking about Ed Wood and 'Plan 9' - http://www.onpointradio.org... - but sorry I have to go now because someone just compared 'how to stuff a wild bikini' to costner's 'the postman.' Now I'm pulling for 'sex & the city 2' to come into play here, or at least hoping to hear an explanation as to why Jett & Gareth haven't reviewed it yet. Sorry, have to go do a search on documentary flick just out on 'best wost movie' and its glowing tribute to Troll 2.

Re: Who’s the Best Impersonator of Orson Welles?

i agree - young di caprio could have done Orson - as for the voice - well who does?

Re: Who’s the Best Impersonator of Orson Welles?

I think Leonardo di Caprio resembles a young Orson Welles. Leonardo is a very talented actor, as Orson was, but he does not have that wonderful voice of Orson's.

Re: Who’s the Best Impersonator of Orson Welles?

Are you ready for a shock? I've just seen the poster for Me and Orson Welles and it's so bad I had to tell somebody.
http://screencrave.com/2009...
I've never been a big fan of Richard Linklater films, but I respect him as a film maker who knows what he wants -or is willing to experiment with that. But I'm somewhat surprised he allowed this kind of mush into the wild to "sell" his latest one.
If I was Claire Danes I'd sue.

Re: Who’s the Best Impersonator of Orson Welles?

McKay all the way. I can't tell who the best impersonator was, but I loved the bonus feature, "Welles on Acting" :). Makes you understand why so many people want to pay homage to him.

Re: Who’s the Best Impersonator of Orson Welles?

Yes...because of course Orson Welles was Lucas' original choice for the voice of Darth Vader!:

(From IMDB: Welles declined the chance to be the voice of Darth Vader in Star Wars (1977) http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000080/bio

Re: Who’s the Best Impersonator of Orson Welles?

why is there a lightsaber attached to leiv schreiber's left shoulder?

Re: Who’s the Best Impersonator of Orson Welles?

From what I've seen it's McKay all the way!!

Re: Who’s the Best Impersonator of Orson Welles?

Thanks for adding to the list Phil.

I literally have not thought of Mork and Mindy since it went off air.

Did it really exist - a TV show with Robin Williams as alien named 'Mork'?
