Christmas Day Shock! Sherlock Holmes is Worth Seeing!
And hopefully the person behind the concessions counter will try and upgrade me to the "bucket" of piss for just $1 extra (free refills!).
+ i feel like the bucket of piss comment is going to haunt me forever.
While I thought you were fundamentally wrong about Zombieland and Gareth's child-like wonder and amusement at the movie had me taken aback for a moment or two, I don't think you should be judged solely on the merit of a single podcast episode. That guy was a douchebag.
The thing about it is that you two make an extraordinary pair when it comes to movie reviews. I absolutely loved Inglourious Basterds, but the depth and perspective you showed when reviewing that movie brought my fondness for it to nigh euphoric heights. Point is, I usually find myself agreeing with your views about movies and they result in a greater appreciation for film in general. Keep up the good work and, unmentionable buckets aside, don't let a couple of bad reviews keep you down.
I think it's obvious you love movies. Don't let your standard slip just because many more others might disagree. As long as you can justify your opinion (and you do -which makes it worth hearing at the very least) then there's no reason why your personal taste shouldn't be shared in all its glory.
(Edited to admit I didn't hear the Zombieland podcast yet because I knew I had no interest in the movie -now I'll have to listen to it thanks to all this talk, which I wouldn't have done had you not said what you did.)
