ahhh, wit, action and explosions ONLY when necessary - that's how ya spell relief! ;)

I wrote off Michael Bay (and Roland Emmerich) years ago and I can honestly say it was the best move I made in my movie-viewing history. I haven't regretted it for one second.

Bay especially directs with contempt. The only way to do anything positive with his output is to ignore it. Don't review it. Don't view it. Don't regard it as a movie. I know I don't. :)

As I've said here before, I was entertained by the first Transformers (primarily by the visuals and that it was a bit of a nostalgia trip, admittedly).

This one was unbelievable. I couldn't even fathom the depths of it's badness, even by Michael Bay standards. It was dumb, offensive (how can you make robots offensive? well, Bay figured it out), and incredibly long. I had to walk out. It never ended.

The world ain't ready for a visionary director as Mr. Bay...

Having say that, I believe I'll be watching it in the future... when is it on TV.

I have promised myself that I will not be suckered into seeing this as I did the first.

I think Brit reviewer Mark Kermode feels much the same way Jett, his review is terrific - there's no doubt what his opinion is!
