In fact, he's like...well, his face looks like a road map to midgard but there are times he can play some smarmy bastards that have a really strange magnetism LOL

Re: Comfort Films

Groundhog Day

Re: Comfort Films

Also strange for the casting...Demi Moore??

Weird movie, indeed.

Re: Comfort Films

yes! and john candy as a mute woman (he was actually kinda pretty)! i still have nightmares, i tells ya! Mind you, lots of folks also think the sequel Return to Oz is creepy too!

Kiley - Nothing But Trouble, is that the one with Dan Ackroyd in a weird fat suit?

Re: Comfort Films

Comedy in 2001

Re: Comfort Films

Nothing But Trouble.

Scariest. It was on TNT about a week ago or so, and I had a funny conversation w/ my wife:

Me: This movie always gave me a bit of the creeps.
Wife: You mean when you were a kid? What about today?
Me: I think it's spookier to me now than it was when I was a kid.
Wife: Because of the witch?
Me: No, because of the scarecrow, lion, and tin man.
Wife: What? They're not scary!
Me: Have you ever taken a good look at them? They're hideous!
Wife: I prefer to look at their inner soul.....

Re: Comfort Films

As long as it works

Re: Comfort Films

I guess what I mean is - you and Gareth seem to do a great job at breaking down different themes within a movie, or how it's shot, or it's overall plot, etc. etc.....so that's why I wonder, in a comedy, would either or both of you view it on laughs alone, or would you be more critical of the overall movie itself in terms of all the technical aspects or aesthetics whathaveyou that you guys have an eye for.

I just haven't heard you review one, so I'm not sure how you'd look at it from a critical standpoint.

& 'Mummymia'.....hilarious.

Re: Comfort Films

these conversation trees are getting confusing, LOL!
