I didn't want to read this post until after I saw the movie.

I thought it was great, by the way, and thought that it asked many of the questions you have asked...but I don't know if it offered that "third way".

Well I just got back from a screening - and wish I could talk with you about it - but you're not seeing it for a few days. Ah well. It will make for an extremely interesting show - especially when I reveal who the real stars of the picture are.

You know I'm glad I read this before heading off to the 9am Imax showing today. You're thoughtful insight into the nature of narrative will make a useful counterpoint to my being surrounded by geeked-out adolescent boys who want to see s**t blown up.
